A LifeGem is a certified, high quality diamond created from the carbon of your loved one as a memorial to their unique and wonderful life.

CasioTech showed this to me. It looks.............weird.

When I die,I do not want to be worn on someone's finger I want to be put in a bowl and smoked.

Is there no limit to which people will stoop to earn some cash?!

Still, doesn't beat the woman who had her husband's ashes placed in her breast implants so he'd always be near her heart!!! <shudder>

I think it's a cool idea. I mean it's no worse than buying an urn so you can have a dead ashes on your mantel. I think for the immediate generation it would be kinda weird, but if it were to be passed down a few generations, it would be neat to have a diamond that was made from the remains of an ancestor.

But maybe I'm just a freak :p

I wonder how legit this company is.

How much carbon does it take to make a 1 carrot diamond?

How much carbon can be collected from ashes?

Do they have to add carbon to the process?

It's a strange world.....

I'm with you on this one... being put into a box to rot is pretty lame. Being in an urn, ready for your grandchildren to spill on the rug is pretty lame.

This is cool :D

Hail fellow freak :)

I was joking with my girlfriend that if I die first I want to be made into a belly ring that she can remember me by.
hehe

I w/these two. While a bit odd at first, I think this is a pretty cool idea. Urns, headstones, statues, moseliums<sp?> all serve the purpose of "remembering" our loved ones, just like the ring. And it's something that can be passed down from generation to generation which is pretty cool IMO.

Still sounds a bit shady, as he claims high-quality results, certification lab isn't officially backing him. Hmmmm.....

"At this time, EGL USA does not have enough information about this new product to comment about the use of the EGL name in conjunction with it." Mark Gershburg, director of EGL USA, said in a prepared statement in response to inquiries. But he said it is impossible to distinguish LifeGem synthetic diamonds from other synthetic diamonds.

They aren't yet, but they did give 2 of them submitted anonymously quality certs, and they do admit that they are comparable to other synthetic diamonds.

I didn't realize they are blue diamonds. Doubly cool ...I like blue :)

Will the robot have legs or some sort of treadmill mechanism for movement? Or some sort of "hover" technology? I am intrigued by your ideas and wish to subscribe to your newsletter...

Are you the creator of Hi and Lois, because you are making me laugh. Of course it will have legs!! What kind of war robot doesn't have legs?
