Nope, you have to create the file. Just stick that text in it, save it, and restart mozilla, should work.

What really bugs me is that forum modification suggestions (some of which are good, most of which are stupid) from members are shot down left and right by Zuni and the administrators on the pretext that they are "unproffesional," yet adbars that totally ruin the look & feel of the forums are inserted willy-nilly by the powers that be.

 

It's just annoying. Put them on the right side at least like normal sites. Being on the left side does not make you want to read them anymore. It's just distracting. I am sorry but it's pretty lame.

Well no... the users request changes to fusetalk, a product which in and of itself has no ads. The ads you see here are a part of anandtech forums, not fusetalk.

Not necessarily. I was referring more to the enabling of features such as img tags (bad idea) and pre tags (good idea, IMO) which are part of Fusetalk but disabled here.

Am i on Anandtech or a geocities free home page? This ad is WORSE than a popup! I can close a popup and get back to the content i came for, the sidebar shifts the page over enough that i'm being annoyed throughout my forum experience.

Anandtech is probably THE biggest tech site on the net, annoying readers to this extent for a few extra dollars is despicable. There have been better forums for a long time, who'd have thought it would be Anandtech themselves that prompted readers to finally make the switch.
