Ok, this is a strange one. Any ideas??

System specs:

TBird 1.2G
Abit KT7-Raid (latest 4in1)
256M Micron CAS2 PC133
Win98SE
G450 32M DH
SB Live
DLink 530TX NIC

Strange thing has started happening. Every once in a while when I (soft) reboot, while shuting down, an Award "Suspend to HD" BIOS window pops up, the pc speaker beeps a few times, then the POST screen comes up. But, the C drive (just the first of two partitions) is unreadable - because its suddenly unformatted!! No utilities can repair/unformat it, etc.

All the other drives and partitions (even the 2nd partition on the boot drive) are fine. Checked for virii, scandisk'd etc - no probs.

Luckily, I have a recent Ghost backup so I can restore it with no major lose. But, a few restarts later...blip...C is gone again (grumble)

Please, someone know what the problem is!! :0

If you find the system is corrupted on returning from hibernation mode, or it hangs when returning from hibernation mode, there are reports that disabling Fast R-W Turn Around in the BIOS can solve this problem, which is due to memory corruption.
