Drum solos, no matter how much skill is involved, are always boring. That's the first rule of drum solos.

that's subjective, so kinda see yourself to the nearest exit.

No it's not. That's the second rule of drum solos.

I'd normally agree with you, but that was pretty sweet.

I've drummed before and honestly, drums take skill, but its not all that amazing in the end.

That was sick.

All you naysayers are (1) jealous or (2) retarded. Call it what you may, but this kid is extremely talented and what he was doing was sick. He's 12 years old. Most of you were just mastering the art of pissing into the toilet without splashing, at that point.

The drumbeat that kicks in around 6:26 is dirrrrrrrrrrrty!

If you don't like it, see yourself out of the thread. Those of use who aren't TOTAL DILLHOLES can appreciate it, thanks.

He's obviously very skilled and must be a genius in the area, but I must say that listening to most of it almost drove me nuts. I kept watching anyway because he just looks so skilled 😛

Seen it before but not in a while so thanks for the link anywhom. Insane. I mean 12 years old!! How does one get to be that good? And how can you people say its not music? Listen to the beats that kid is making.

Yeah, I actually saw the video the last time it was posted. Like I said, I acknowledge that this requires skill, which is the only interesting thing about it. Musically (can I say that about drums, musically?) it's nothing special.

The last time this video was posted there was a pretty amusing thread tangent when somebody commented (paraphrasing): "Imagine the girls that kid gets". I can't remember if anyone agreed with him, but I'm thinking it was... nobody.

To me this video is like watching Steve Vai. Technically interesting in the skill required but at the end of the day hollow.

Fully agree. Requires skill, but it didn't capture me musically. Just like vai or malmsteen.

my god i played the drums for 7 years and was never near that skill level...that kid needs to keep that up and hes going to have one heck of a future.

Is that real? sometimes the sound and the movie don't add up. Sometimes you hear some stuff and you don't see him actually hitting anything (Don't give me quicker than the eye stuff, he's actually playing on other drums at the time)
Also, he's excellent , but I feel that the double pedal thingy makes him sound 5 times better. but... guitar solos>drum solos.

WTF he already played 9 years when he was 12!
