OK thinking of getting new subs for my car

well my current subs take up to much space (my whole back area in my jimmy).

so i have been looking at 15" sub. a single 15, with power handling of 1100 watts, @ 1 ohm.

i have some choices, but not sure of others. Resonant Engineerin 15 XXX (but it takes a lot of power to move so yea) Incriminator Audio Death Penalty 15", elemental Designs 15A, Digital Designs 9515e.

i would like to get loud, but have some SQ ability also, eD has the 15A but i would like to try a new manuf. and see how i like it. are there any others out there to look at?

i guess i should specify under 400$.

the problem there minendo, is that a single 15 has the HOLY SH!T factor when they notice its from a single sub, and i can build a fiberglass box over my wheel well for it. right now i have 4 12's but i want the space back, 2 twelves is what "everyone and their mom runs" so yea.

Every 15 I have heard sounded like sh!t. I am also used to only running single sub setups since I have extremely limited space.

 
Wow, what kind of music do you listen to? That must have horrible delay in it. Also, running a 15 is pointless in my mind, two 12's is really the highest I would personally go, but only because I don't listen to rap, I listen to a lot of rock music that I rely on the quickness for.
 
ehh, what 15"s have you heard? the myth that 15's are sloppy is false, there are some very good 15's out there.

the 12's i am running right now are SQ 12's and sound very good, but not as loud as i like. i listen to everything out there but some i hate pop, and country.

See the fact that you have 4 12's and it's not loud enough is a problem right there. I have a single 10 in a huge open area and it's loud as hell. Do you have a receiver with sub out on it? Have you tried playing with the gains? I mean seriously.
 
no i know what i have, and i know what i have done.

gain is at 50%. h/u is 4.5 volts, kenwood mp919 w/ the nf boost at +15 putting out full voltage. 4.4 cubes common chamber. parallel wiring. the subs are NOT ment for being balls to the wall loud. they are ment to give good sounding bass. they are loud enough, just not insane. and i dont like how much space they take up.

ok, who the hell was it that wanted one of my 12k's?

i am gettin a 15XXX and need to figure out who wants them, i know in some post, someone told me they were interested.

Well, I've had 8's, 10's, 12's, and 15's in my car. My favorite was the IDQ 12 that I had because it sounded great and wasn't big, but the 15 sounded better. It was just too damn big.
 
well one 15, is gunna be small compared to my 4 12's

which are for sale, 110$ + ship. each two are pending, one is to someone on another board, the other is to someone on here, ijust forget he dibbed it a while ago.

i have atleast 1 pending on another forum, and i would really like to get these sold soon so i can get everything, and do it over winter break, and then hopefully figure some way out to get the fiberglass smell out of my car (it reeks).
