Ok then, can I make my own "Anandtech.com" newsletter?

Since NOONE responded to my thread on Anandtech making thier own, how 'bout I make my own? Since I'm the one with the idea and all... It won't be great or anything since I don't have fantastic publishing software. I have MS Home Publishing Suite 2000 which will prolly let me do a "cute" job. I was thinking of leaving copies everywhere to draw people to the site. If it gets popular I guess I could take it someplace that can mass produce it, Sir Speedy, Staples, etc.... I think the idea has alot of potential...

Of course, I would need the boss' ok first... boss?

Why would you do that? What kind of information would it contain (the reviews?)?

Yup. And all the latest news for the week, help guides, a buyers guide, etc.

By the way, I need a large Anandtech logo, one bigger than is on the main page...where can I get one?

Why would anyone want this? It would take days to get the stuff done, by the time people get the newsletter, the news would be old.

You should definately email Anand personally about this.

Don't ask our opinion, that could easily be copyright infringement.

HansXP:Why would anyone want this? I bet half (or more) of the PC computing population doesn't even know Anandtech exist. And also it would get much better computer info into the general public...instead of getting info from one of their "know-it-all" freinds or co-workers...

Noriaki:Oh, don't sweat it...I wouldn't do ANYTHING without his ok first...

If I decided to make my own newsletter, do you think he'd care if I used some his articles if I advertised that Anandtech.com is where I got it?

For the logos ... the wallpapers in this page has them. But be careful, since most of the stuff is copyrighted. Wait until vacation time comes, and have a talk with Anand. :)

I honestly don't see why he'd mind you volunteering your time to make a pritned Anandtech newsletter. Free Advertising can't be bad.

But I'm just saying, it *could* be viewed as Copyright infringement so just make sure you get the Boss's OK first.

And how do you plan on getting the other half to find us with a paper newsletter? It would be better to concentrate on getting the AT name at the top of the search engines and around on other forums.
