OK St coach Sean Sutton resigns

The talking heads on ESPN are saying how terrible it is they gave him only two seasons to prove himself, and used the lack of an NCAA bid this year as an "excuse" to fire him, citing a "personality conflict" with the Athletic Director s the real reason for the firing. I don't see a problem, since the only reason he got the job in the first place was dad Eddie blackmailing the school into naming him his dad's successor (like Bobby/Pat Knight at Texas Tech). Does anyone else here say "good riddance"?

He's getting paid for the years left on his contract as well, so he's pretty much getting the exact same paycheck while not doing a G-D thing.

Not bloody likely, since he'd have to play KU every year. If Self is ever tempted to leave the Jayhawks, it would have to be for a school outside the Big 12.

money talks. Word is T. Boone Pickens would pay him double or more what he makes now.

Kansas is the birthplace of college basketball. Why would you leave the Holy Land?
