I'm American and I will not eat American cheese or bologna either.

To be fair, American cheese varies. There's the "cheese food" stuff, and then there's actual American cheese. Better quality American cheese isn't bad on a burger.

I should also add that I dont particularly like philly cheese steaks. I think they are kinda boring. And the cheese is unappealing to me. I'd rather have a cheeseburger. That has the same american cheese, but its just better on a cheeseburger than a cheese steak. If I do eat a cheese steak, I make sure to order it with onions, pepper, mushrooms pretty much whatever topping that have plus some hot sauce. Its not as boring that way.
