I sold a 50 disc CD-R spindle on Ebay couple weeks ago, I got the check from the winning bidder, immediately, I sent out the spindle..
but he still hasn't received my package yet! and it's been 2 weeks already!!!
I think post office lost my package, but how do I explain this to the buyer? If I give him back $20...I would be in tremedous lost financially!
$20 + 50 disc + shipping fee!!!!
And what if he fool me? he probably got that package already...and still trying to get his $20 back..

Did you use tracking, insurance, etc? If so, use the tracking to check to see if it was delivered and/or file an insurance claim. If not, then you should pay the person back.

$20and a spindle of CDRs is not a "tremendous loss."

jeez.. you woulda lost what.. $30 max? if that's a tremendous loss, then i think you have to get your priorities straight before you sell stuff.. you should have had a return receipt on it or something.. or whatever the thing is that you will know once he's received it.. i dont' know what you do now... but maybe you could talk to the post office and somehow track it...

Are you serious? You're out $20 and shipping. It's your responsibility to get the item to him, so i would check with the courier and make sure it's not lost somewhere. If it is, looks like you'll need to refund the buyer, and claim the insurance if it was insured. If not, take it as a lesson.

I guess habib didn't really have anything to contribute, but just stopped in to sneer at your loss of $30.

Yes, always ship with a tracking number! There are people out there who just wait until one of their packages doesn't have any way to confirm delivery, then they claim non-receipt.

If the Post Office can't help you (and they probably can't), I don't think you can just assume the buyer is lying. I would tell the buyer to hang in there for another week since the mail isn't exactly speedy these days. And if it doesn't show up by then you'll send a replacement spindle out.

How far did the package have to travel, and how did you send it?

If you have a DC number and it says that its been delieverd, then dont refund the money.
If no number say you want to wait one more week. If it dosen show up then you need to refund the buyers money and fill out a lost claim form.
Good luck.

Does you buyer have a lot of positive feedback? See anything negative about falsely claiming to have not rec'd an item? Give it some more time and then refund if their feedback is good.

Some sellers make insurance optional and then if the package doesn't arrive I think they do not refund if the buyer didn't pay extra for insurance. I always make the buyer pay for insurance though, or absorb it myself if my profit is large.
