It shut off and would not turn back on. The fans and hard drive spuns but nothing appeared on the screen. I disconnected all of the drives and unneccesary cables. Still nothign appeared on the screen after several tries. Then like hours later I tried it again and it turned on. Weird :p

I stabbed mine with a ~35CM knife once, luckily the case metal was quite thick, so I didn't get all the way through ;)

Actually I saw on a post somewhere there was this website making fun of computer mods. They took an axe to the computer case to make blowholes. It actually looked pretty cool. You know, kinda gave the computer a "rugged" look. Smack in some red lighting, you got yourself a pretty baddass computer.

"My computer survived an axing. Would you like to try it on yours?"

I'm sure the shotgun will produce the same effect.

Shots from a 9mm Taurus at strategic points would have solved everything.

Reminds me of awhile back when I took my long-time dysfunctional HP printer out in the driveway and stomped it about fifty times (after all, what the hell else is HP crap good for?). Hella satisfying......I could feel the stress just draining out through my feet. Heh, when I remember all those parts flying through the air I feel kinda warm and fuzzy. All in all, it was a pretty good day.

Love my new Canon. At the rate it's going it may never get stomped!

We threw an old computer out of a 7 story window once... that was pretty damn cool, haha. It was a satisfying sound.

so if I throw one of my butthead students out the 3rd floor window (most likely 7th hr), I can blame this thread and all the participants....

you made me do it...

YOU can blame it on anything you like, but we all know that the politicians and reporters will just go right ahead and blame it on video games.......

My WD 10 gig died tonight, I heared it spin down. Locked up the comp... turned it back on and didn't detect. So I just unplugged it, gave it a whomp. Plugged it back in and back online.

oh yeah

No, no, no, didn't you hear? The root problem for everything in the world:

Gabe Newell is fat.

I've bumped my new machine when it was on. Since it was new, I had it sitting next to my chair.

It shut off for 5 minutes and would not turn back on.

I think the PS has some kind of motion sensor to protect itself. I'll have to read up, but now I'm very careful when moving my machine when it's on. I have an Antec Neo Power 480.

Some friends and I once too a shotgun and a semi-automatic 22 rifle to an old computer and case. Was hella fun blowing it to pieces with shotgun slugs.

Turns out my sister-in-law was the best shot with the shotgun, blew the processor right out of the socket, shooting through the case.
