Ok, so how do I increase the refresh rate above 85 Hz?

My new monitor just got here, and it's kicking ass.

But, for whatever reason I can't increase the refresh rate above 85 Hz when running at 1600x1200.
The monitor can handle up to 104 Hz and the GFz card(LeadTek GF3 Ti200) can handle 100.

But 85 Hz is the max even when I uncheck the option to hide non supported resolutions.

If I pick 1280x1024/960 I can pick up to 120 Hz.
I've even tried downloading Eizo's monitor inf files, even though that's not supposed to be needed when the system recognizes it as a PnP monitor, no difference.

Running Windows XP Pro, and the 23.11 Detonators.

Try something like powerstrip to see if it will let you do it from there, that is weird though I though with the hidden selection you could go pretty high.

Um, dude, that's the way it works. The lower the rez, the higher the refresh you can achieve. I bet you get 200hz at 800x600. But I have a feeling 85 is your limit at 1600x1200.

I did. What model number do you have? If you have the 21" 931-61, then yes, 104 is your number. I just doubt people have the most expensive model on the block unless they specify it, as few monitors can do above 85hz at 1600x.

Sorry to doubt you, but typically people believe that they can achieve maximum refresh rates at all resolutions.

Update.

If I turn the color depth down to 16 bits, I can run at 100 Hz.
Now AFAIK monitors dont make a difference when you change color depth, only the GFX cards do, right?

Odd...
