Ok...so HL2, Halo2, WoW

Why must all these good games come out now.... I've got CS:Source, loving it. But WoW Open Beta starts today at some point, and I'm gone for work in 2 hours....THEN I have to go back to work tomorrow morning to grab a copy of Halo2, thus ignoring WoW.

What am I to do?!?

PS. I make my dept's sched so I booked myself off tomorrow and the next day for halo2

PPS. Am I officially considered a nerd?

You're not officially a nerd, but if you can convince my supervisor that I need a week off for HL2 then I'll reconsider.

Three of my guys have tried to pull that. Little bastards trying to get time off just for a video game....jeez, WTF is up with kids today!!

On a side note, if you need a week off, explain the importance of employee viewpoint to your supe and how beneificial you feel it would be for your work career to take a couple days to clear your mind.

Kevin Pereia on G4TechTV had a nice little rant on Pulse about how developers are overcrowding the holiday market with their A games. He made the point that the game playing demographic has switch from 7-16 year olds to a much older segment who not only make out Christmas lists, but are busy filling lists themselves.

I bought 0 games all year. In November, I've already bought 5 and will likely buy 2 more before the month is up.
