I've just got my new mini. I'm having firefox crash alot. It is the only thing I've installed on a clean snow leopard straight from apple.

Usually, it is watching a video when it crashes. What gives? What can I do?

Thats probably the flash plugin for firefox taking down the browser, not firefox itself per say. That being said, i've actually been using firefox less and less lately, instead favoring chrome and safari.

I dont use safari really at all. But FF crashes sometimes, chrome does too. FF hasnt been crashing lately though, just started using chrome.

I dont watch much flash, but FF does crash more often when watching some video. Either espn 360 or justin tv.

Don't use Firefox! Yuck! Chrome just got updated two days ago and it my new #1 browser. Safari is waiting in the wings in case of an emergency.

Does chrome on the mac have the same problem with no adblocking software? That is why I like firefox. Also, I need a 'flash downloader' that I can extend into the browser.

I forget what version, think it was when 3.0 first came out, it used to crash all the time for me when I was in the middle of typing something in a textarea. I also have an issue with certain sites such as liveleak.com but it's not a firefox thing, it's all browsers. I think it's flash itself that crashes.

The release that just came out added support for extensions, so you can use Ad Blocker et al.

http://www.google.com/chrome

They dont have a real ad blocker. And the ones they have work ok. adthwart is the best one but still no where as good as FF.

For basic web browsing chrome is great, im using it but have to go back to FF for some stuff.

IE ESPN 360.

It's been pretty well behaved for me... maybe you're opening a lot of windows/tabs and a plugin is crashing it?
