ok, set up a adhoc 802.11 B network, how would i transfer files between the 2 pc's?

Ad Hoc Wireless is just like replacing the CAT5e cable with Wireless.

Sharing is the same as with wire.

IP 169.254.x.x is the Auto IP assigned when you do not have a DHCP server or a bad connection.

Try to assign a Manual IP and make sure that the Wireless works.

ok i had to set my workgroup names the same. forgot i had it on a domain. once taht was done, make a share, then double click my network places > computers near me.
