Hello,

New build consisting of:

i52500k
DP67DE Intel Mobo
8 gig S.skill ram
WD OEM 1 tb HD SATA3
GTX460 Gigabyte factory OC'd vid card
Coolmax powersupply 600watt

all new and put together last night... only using the 2 SATA3 connections on the Mobo and everything seems to powerup and sound off... The mouse lights up and keyboard the same as well as the lights and fan on the vid card however the fan on the CPU doesnt kick on nor does anything else happen...

anyideas? anyone have some tips for me to look at?

Did you plug it into mobo to give it power ?

If soo and it still doesn't work connect a regular fan on that 3pin where you connected your HSF .. Try another 3pin connector , OR HSF is dead get a quick replacement. thx gg and gb,

Double check you have plugged in the 4pin motherboard connector as well the standard 24pin. Other things might be forgetting thermal paste or an incorrectly mounted CPU HFS.

Bros,

thanks many times over for your responses... I put a factory fan on the CPU's fan and the fan worked... So I guess something could be wrong with the CPU fan as it seems hard to turn the blades on the fan for some reason (its factory fan that came with it)... I had plugged in the mini Hdmi cable and nothing came up on the screen so I'll guess I'll try the older pin connections and reinstal the CPU and its fan... sounds like maybe I need a new fan, I hope thats all it is.... Is there any jumpers I have to move around since Im using 2 SATA3 ports for everything? just curious..

Oh yeah the 4 pin connector is hooked up but I had to stretch the crap out of the cable to get it to connect but if you read above I had a case fan work in the CPU fan slot...

thanks again bro...

Looks like a problem with the stockcooler's fan.

But your ram...it's in the right slots? (should be in the blue ones)

Sata3 should work just like sata2, no need to change anything.

Bros,

I want to thank an awsome group of people who posted to help me get out the bugs on my system... Its up and running and Im using it now as I type this with my first time with windows 7 64bit and Im trying to get use to the speed lmao... The CPU fan had wires which circled the fan and they were on there so tight the fan couldnt spin and that turned out to be my problem... I still didnt get a reading from my mini HDMI cable so I changed it to the old stand by and that worked... I think it might just needed the vid card driver to get that to work as I havent tried it again, yet...

Wanted to let you know your fast responses lead me out of the dark, and NO I WASNT IN THE CLOSET LMAO...
