Ok thansk for all your help yesteday and today on my speaker issues. (well not so much issues but what ifs)
Here's the deal
I have a digital media theater sub by boston. the speakesr that came with it are analogue and they connect to the l/r analogue ports in the sub. there is another analogue port on the sub for surround speakers to use through a y cable.
my sub is connected to my computer digitally with spdif. (it can also be connected through analogue)
if i get 2 more speakers from boston for the back i have to use the y cable and connect it to the sub and not have true surround sound. I can get those speakers from boston for 55 bucks american.
here's my real question now after figuring out a few things lol. Would it bet better to spend 55 dollars on 2 back speakers that connect to my sub for not real surround sound, OR spend i don't know how much on a completley new 4.1 or 5.1 solution? I'm using onboard sound off of the p4pe, would i need a new soundcard too?
thanks! I hope there is a sound guru out there who can help.
