But wouldn't you save money by having an integrated tuner rather than an external? And I didn't even realize that some HD tv's even come without tuners. It's only logical that they would all have one.

no...the tuner only picks up free air stations....most people who are buying HD sets have cable or satelite. Those will need their own tuners even if your set has an integrated tuner

its like AC3/DD5.1 audio receivers.. when they first came out most were AC3 "ready" only ..or atleast the nonexpensive ones were

no its not LS20...you only need that integrated tuner if you want to watch free air channels

Great, we've come full circle - get out the rabbit ears.

HDTV still has years to go before it's worth the investment.

I'll stick with my satellite thank you.

I knew that a tuner was only needed for free air but I thought that most people would want that. But I guess you're right. Since the large majority of people have cable or satellite and an even larger majority of HDTV buying people have one or the other, a free air tuner isn't really necessary.

Ah well, I doubt that'll it's really add so much to the cost.
