Ok need some real help here

ok im getting a new rig...

i live in australia and have only seen 3 different types of 6800's here and they were all GT's...

i want an Ultra and just found one on this store..

http://www.i-tech.com.au/products/item4343.asp

i have never heard of sparkle though? guys is this where i jump and go get it right now? or do i wait for a better brand or something..

anything anyone has on this card/manufacturer i would love to hear... price isnt the issue (its australian dollars dont forget)

cheers guys

I know MSI is a major boardmaker for nvidia gfx.

Don't know much about Sparkle gfx although I've seen it in casual reads.

With these gfx boards, it will boil down to 1) better price 2) better bundle 3) better customer service support/warranty.

Why are you so against the GT? It's quite a bit cheaper, has all 16 pipelines, uses 1 molex connector, and pretty much all of them are overclocking to Ultra speeds to boot.

Otherwise I would say MSI.

All I remember about Sparkle power, is their FX 5950 Ultra platnium from last year. It ran hotter than others and could not over clock worth a damn.

I would stick with MSI.

Im not against the GT... but at the moment im looking at ultra's... no biggy.

i think the MSI is looking the goods.. its $980 here and comes with a crap load of bundled stuff plus i trust MSI as a brand...

I found the ASUS V9999 single pci 6800 ultra out here but its up at $1300... thats is just to much i think..

1300!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy $hit, Australian people must have a lot of money. Jeez why dont you save yourself some money get a round trip one day plane ride to the good ol US and buy one here, probably still cheaper. lol.

yer we get ripped with prices.... 1300 aus is about 850 US at a guess... maybe 750 im not sure but yep we are getting ripped.

its ok though.. im not looking at the 1300 asus.. 1000 is my limit so prob US 650 (depending on exchange rates of course which i cant be bothered looking up lol)

so im guessing the MSI 6800 ultra at 980 is the go for me
