Hi all,

Feel like a moron asking these questions but it gives you all a chance to laugh at newbies. 1 intake fan in the front on Antec 2600 blowing in attached to the the mobo. For my exhaust fan in the rear do I attach it directly to the power supply?

Thanks in advance, and enjoy your laugh,

Leigh

Is it a stock fan? What kind of wire comes out of it? Is it a 3pin connector or a molex one? That should tell you.

The only stupid question is the one that is not asked. Ignore anyone who "laughs" at you for in laughing at you they are simply overcompensating for their own ignorance in other aspects of their lives.

3 pin on the front. Soyo kt 600 plus. There is only 1 chassis fan connector on the motherboard. (It is in the front). Connected the front fan to this. I have 4 pin connector on the rear fan i guess.

If it is a four pin connector just connect it to the power supply. It can easily share a 4pin with a cd drive with no problems. Usually back case fans are connected to the psu directly

Yeah, I would probably either connect it to a free connector or one connected to a dvd or cd drive. I would try and keep the hardrives on a single connector each if possible. It is not critical though. If you have a high end video card that requires a molex connector than I wouldn't share but it has been shown to be ok to do so. Otherwise you should be fine.

Just remember, if you have a 7 volt modded connector for that fan, DO NOT connect it to ANY other device. Stoopid me fried a hard drive like that.
If you did nothing to the fan wiring, just plug it into a molex connector and you are golden.

not sure how it works out for people who ask questions every 5 minutes, but hey :p
