All right after a couple of days of reading reviews and talking to people etc I have come down to 2 of the best mobos for AMD t-birds with DDR, which one to choose though.
MSI K7 master and Asus A7A266!
Now from what people have told me AMD has left the chipset business, with AMD761 being their last and Asus A7A266 with ALi is basically replacing the A7M266. Now of course I remember the BX on the pentium boards, Ali being a little bit slower on the benchmarks. The BX remained the best for a very very long time, maybe AMD761 will be the same who knows. Now I am basically looking for a mobo that will be stable and that will not give me any troubles with random lockups etc, good quality or frying my equipment etc. I will probably not be overclocking, i just want good features and a solid board. So I am leaning towards Asus A7A266 but from what I heard the MSI K7 master is a kickass motherboards as well. So which one to pick?
