Ok, let me ask dumb hardware question. Whats the difference between nForce2 IGP and nForce2 SPP?

I've been lookin at possibly getting a nForce2 mobo to replace my crippled MSI KT400 mobo ( Floppy port is dead ). I realize the one obvious difference is the lack of onboard video on the SPP versions. Is that the only difference? Or is there something else I'm missing?

Yup. Also the new Rev 2.0 Nforce boards have support for 200MHZ bartons.

HUH??? When do they come out? I'd like to get one of those and one of those B revision XP1700+ and run it at 15x200FSB!!😉

a new mobo over a floppy drive? you must use that damn thing alot, sh!t load of trouble for a floppy. i havent used mine in almost 3 years

No I don't use the floppy at all. The prob is I can't update the BIOS on this mobo without a floppy drive. I 've tried making a bootable CDROM and trying it that way but that didn't work. My last mobo could do it from windows, but it died.🙁 I want to hear more about these Rev. 2.0 nForce2 boards. Anyone have an ETA? ( Estimated Time of Availablity)

I should have a Rev 2 Epox 8RDA+ in my hands next week some time. I am buying it second hand and the guy who's selling says that he had it up at 221 MHz FSB on stock cooling, without any Vdd mods. 🙂
