Measurements in 125th of an inch is nothing. Kenmore can do even worse!
I don't know which model the OP was referring to, but this one has the same website dimensions as the OP:

Click Specifications and scroll down:

Notice there that they go into 500th of an inch or even mils (1/1000th of an inch). A mil is about the accuracy of many CNC machines (although they can do better if you pay for it).
But wait there's more! Now look at the depths in their specifications. And compare them to the PDF Dimension Specifications.

Notice how the depth with handles of 36-5/8 in does not match their depth including handles of 35-469/500 in. And of course the fun rock music coming from the power chords (which appears 5 times in that Dimension Specification manual).
