OK, just ordered a Canon A70, what kind of batteries should i get?

I would like to buy some nice rechargeable batteries. anyone have any suggestions on what to look for?
 
i know i have to get AA, i was wondering what kind

what are the different rechargeable batteries? what is NiMh? are there any other types of batteries?
 
More than just NiMH, get AA NiMH rechargeables with a MaH rating of at least > 2000. I originally purchased batteries with rating of 1800 and my A70 was constantly shutting itself off. Once I changed to something > 2000 that problem went away.
 
I use 2100ma nimh energizers in an a70 and they work great. lots of time.

the charger and batts were pretty cheap at my local drugstore.
