Are there any mailservers I can run under XP? (other than exchange). I'm thinking freeware.

I know everyone recommends against it, but is there a DNS program that I could use under XP so I did not have to use ZoneEdit? If so are there any 'idiot instructions' out there for it?

Can I even run a DNS server with only 1 ip address? When you put the Domain names in at your registrar they require two name servers be entered? How do I go about being my own nameserver?

Thanks for any newb instructions here :)

THis is not going to be for anything mission critical, I'm just doing this to learn :)

www.dynu.com for dns client you can edit the mx records etc etc etc should do what you need

Free 5 user mail server or unlimited if you pay £50

now the mail server can be webmail as well and its easy to set..

if you tell dynu (in settings on the webpage after you log in) to use mx records then in a client put as incoming and outgoing mail mail.yourmadeupname.dynu.com they with then run off to your boxen and get the mail..

Anything else gimme a shout
