I took the plunge ( finally!)
I guess its that fear of commitment thing....

But as of today TA is the proud recipient of my 1476 WU's, and my small herd of 4 cpus future crunchings 🙂

BTW, are you running the screensaver (GUI) version, or the CLI version?
 
Shotgun: the CLI on all but 1 comp, because my business partner thinks that the screen saver looks pretty🙂
But at least is is on a 1.4 tbird w/512MB so it still cranks out 3+ units a day

The other comps in the herd includs a 1.4 t-bird w/1.25GB mem, a k6-2/400 w/384MB, and a PII-233 w/384MB so my total production is 8 or 9 WU/day

All comps are running SetiMonitor, and each one has a week's worth of cache. Though it has been a challenge, none of the comps had any idle times during the bandwith crunch 🙂

And yes, Zaphod B was the inspiration for the nick 🙂

Were you about when we had the 1week total outage(no site,no WU's)? (from a cut fibre optic) ,now that was along outage! ,I just barely managed to keep my little fleet going ,I think I had about 3hrs left on the last WU when it came back,nightmare!

Find another pretty screensaver (someone should make up a dummy SETI GUI one 🙂 ) and run the CLI on them 😀
