Hemi V8?

nope.

Ok here is my final hint:

It is a Japanese Car maker.

Toyota made the "semi hemi" a 4 cyl. Never knew they made a v8 option. The head design was also used by Duesenburg , Stutz, Miller and Offenhauser but not sure if they ever made a V8.

we have a winnar.

I was going to say that after your last hint (before you specified Japanese). Purely a guess.

amish
Toyota has the right to produce a chrysler hemi V8 because of some kind of agreement with Chrysler. The have been making a hemi V8 for years. I think production stopped in the late 80's. It was used in a car (limo) called the Crown, which was about the same size as a late 60's full size.

If you have the time and energy there is an article on it in an older issue of Hot Rod. About 2-4 years ago.

The original car was called a Crown. An option version of the car was called the Century with hemi power.
