Hello all,

Well phase two of my water cooling plan has started. I just took delivery of a Lian-Li A70A in silver. All I can say is wow it's huge. The pictures do not do it justice. Some modding will have to be performed to fit the res/tops and radiators but with the room available I'm sure everything will be internal this time. I'll post pictures as things progress.

Try the PC-P80 for size once. I was worried it would fall over but I put wheels on it and it just rolls around slightly until the restraints tighten up! :Q

Nice. No-frills, practical design. Maybe a bit of over-kill on the hard-drive cooling, but probably what you might want with the way Lian-Li orients those cages sideways.

Any cases like these might benefit from 2" double-wheeled casters with brakes on the four bottom corners. Once done, you might find a way to cut a 120mm fan hole in the case bottom, do a little modding to provide a neat fiberglass filter and grille for it. But -- it probably wouldn't need that . . . . . I just look at these cases to see how you might exploit the possibilities. . . .

If one wants to install 2 power supplies in that case,
does the PC-A70A come with 1 or 2 PSU brackets?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/...lver%20Computer%20Case

In the photos at Newegg (above), it appears
there is only one such bracket -- labeled "PSU tray".

Thanks!

Thanks! We've been assembling a list of cases that
accommodate 2 PSUs: we are designing systems
that dedicate one AT-style PSU to solid-state memory
subsystems that utilize volatile RAM e.g. see the
latest announcement of the ANS-9010 by ACARD:

http://www.*****/systems/acard/

The PC-A70A is certainly a major contender.

Thanks for the help!

So, the photos at Newegg show one PSU bracket already installed at the bottom/rear,
and the second PSU bracket comes with the accessory pack.

Thank you very much!

She's a real beauty -- YES INDEED!

Lian-Li sure know how to produce craftsmanship.

FYI: here are some photos we archived for "fair use" --
to illustrate how this case accommodates 2 x PSUs:

sponge:

In case you didn't know, there is an optional top panel with 2 x fan grills:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16811995012

(1) Option top panel for Lian Li PC-A70A

(2) Two 12cm fan holes reserve

(3) Material : Aluminum with silver anodize

That would interest me a lot, because
I like to install HDDs in the 5.25" drive bays,
then capture their warmer exhaust air and
direct that warmer air out the top panel
BEFORE it reaches any other interior components.

Welcome to the LL club, Dude!

LL still make some of the best cases, even after all these years.
The only drawback is, you'll be stuck with it forever! :D

BTW, I'm still stuck with my LL PC-60 from 2002.

The sunbeam looks cool. And the case looks cool as well, by just looking at the pictures on newegg, I actually disliked it very much !!! But your pics make it look a lot better. I think I like my p182 more though, I don't know, the door might not always be practical, it does make a case look very sleek, and I barely use dvd's anyways. ( I usually crack my legal games and use mini-images )

LOL Hey BigPow long time!. Yeah it seems I end up always back to LL I started with the midtower but now that I'm into water cooling space is everything. I also value silence now allot. Hey MarcVenice seriously the pictures I took don't do it justice, I have gone over it carefully looking for flaws in workmanship I can't find one. I have looked at a silvestone their quality is on the LL level and I like them as well.
