Ok, is this a good combo?

Well, it's that time of year to forget upgrading the current computer and get a new one. I'm really having a difficult time trying to figure out the Motherboard, CPU and RAM.

1) Intel Pentium 4 / 2.26GHz Northwood 512K Socket 478 Processor 533MHz Processor Bus

2) ABIT IT7 MAX Intel 845E chipset ATX motherboard

3) MUSHKIN DDR 512MB PC-3000 (x2)

I can't make up my mind. I want USB2.0, but none of the Asus Motherboards come with that.

I have a budget of around $3,000 (including monitor).

I'm damn stupid.

I've been out of this scene for awhile and with all these "new RAMS" (DDR, RAMBUS), man, I feel left out. I'm trying to read 6 pages back for the motherboards forum and CPU/Overclocking forum to understand some of the "lingo". I'm reading every thread and post.
