Quick question, how many case fans do you have, do they all still work, and is the fan in the power supply running?

one in front, 120mm in the back exhaust, psu is working fine. i'm on it now and have been browsing, listening to music for 4 hours now, not one hickup.

also, usually if i launch a video(i use nero's video player) it crashes..

Ok, update... I put in a new vid card and it never even made it past the XP loading screen. Popped in a new 400w PSU and my problems haven't happened once since then. Hoping for the best!

Thanks for all the help/suggestions guys.

I wonder how long Sea Sonic warranties are good for?

its the crappy dfi board. heres a few questions
1. what type of ram are you using? when i had my dfi board i started using kingston valueram with it, i know for a fact dfi boards don't work with any type of valueram, its dfi's fault. get new low latency ram and reformat your pc and cmos
2. what type of psu are you using? i know for a fact that dfi baords don't work with seasonic psu's. if it is you're going to have to get a new psu, or a new motherboard, i suggest a new mb.
3. reformat your pc, and install everything carefully, some programs don't play well together, first install your mb drivers, then your video drivers. get online, and update your windows fully. then run Sp2004 for a day. if no errors then start installing your other programs.

or you can just avoid all of this and get a new mb, i've had many problems with DFi and so have everyone at www.dfi-street.com. they say that website is meant for dfi owners with problems, but it seems to be a bunch of people posting their problems and others replying with "oh, i have the same problem, will someone help me?" i haven't gotten any help from that website..

put the motherboard up with just the PSU alone, put in one CPU and one RAM stick and see if it powers up, you don't need a hard drive to do this, enter directly into the BIOS to see your results.

add each component one at a time until the system has a problem, then you'll be able to draw your conclusions.

I am going to copy and paste this, again and again.

Are you overclocking?
What is your power supply? I didn't see it listed in your specs.
The first thing I would suspect is the memory. Using VS memory on these boards is a crap shoot , especially if you are going to overclock. Adding a third stick, especially a crap brand like PNY is just asking for problems. If you check out the forums at DFI-street, http://www.dfi-street.com and do a search you will see what I mean.
If you are using a POS power supply, that could also be your problem or it could be a combination of the two.
Good luck.

PSU's are always the bad egg!! :brokenheart:

hopefully one day psu's will never exist and computers will run on brainwaves..
