Ok I'm not overclocking, what heatsink/fan should I use for a tbird 1.2ghz

I'm not going to overclock. Tbirds are getting pretty cheap and I plan to get a 1ghz to 1.2 ghz processor depending on the prices after the price drop later this month. I have little tolerance for noice, so it has to be quiet. I know the hedgehog is the best at the moment, but $50 + shipping for a heatsink? Damn that's expensive, I can get a Duron for that price. I'm not looking for a powerhouse. Just one that is high quality and keep my Tbird cool and running well.

if you get the retail T-bird, the Taisol CEK733092 heatsink that comes with it should do the job fine, and very quietly.

That Taisol unit is very reasonable in price, and is probably pretty quiet. Just be sure to get one that is on AMD's approved list, as that Taisol unit is.
