Well I still have the Storm. You won't pry that thing out of my hands too easily. The Storm is a solid workhorse, the G1 is for lulz.

The G1 with 2.1 doesn't seem slow, sometimes loading apps can lag kinda badly, but I can deal with it.

I used Cyanogen 5.0.8. It was pretty easy. Took me about 45 mins to take it from 1.6>1.5>boot loaders, etc>2.1.

put Froyo on that puppy. CM6 RC3 just came out and it works great. Its very stable and very pretty.

I have tons of 3rd party apps on my Storm2. Just around 50, including OpenGL games. Runs great!

Wifi tethering is very cool. #1 reason I root. But using G1 is like using dialup internet. It's cool if you never used the internet but impossible to use after experiencing broadband like cable or dsl.

Sorry, I didnt mean tethering speed. I was referring to slow G1 user experience. It's painful and about impossible to go back after experiencing current gen an
droid phones.

Cyanogen crawled on my G1. Much slower for me than 5.x.
