Ok, he already has a 754 amd 3000+ processor so he's getting this mobo

http://www.newegg.com/Product/CustRatingReview.asp?Item=N82E16813130534

so this way he gets duel channel and pci express.

I also convinced him to get a 7900gt ($280 at dell)

He has a true power 480 atx 12v and one person said this on the motherboard on newegg reviews:

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A 20-PIN TO 24-PIN ADAPTER! If you already have a power supply that natively supports it, then don't worry. Check to see if you have 20-pin power cable. The adapters are super cheap on newegg. You'll need it to turn on the system!

Another person said both 20 and 24 pin work fine. So will that power supply work with that mobo? and will that power supply be enough for the 7900gt?

Thanks, all input is appreciated.
