Yep, you have 30 days to activate. So wait until you get internet access then do it.

Haha, yea my bad.. Typed it so fast i fergot to mention what i was referring to. Yea Windows XP product activation.

Ohhh ok... So i can install the OS, install everything else (i.e. programs) , then just have them activate it when the get the computer this weekend?

Hehe, I assume this is in regard to the wonderful late night calls of tech support you'll be getting? Ahh just play your cards right and know what your getting into and you'll be fine - I've built countless systems for friends, relatives (I just don't answer the phone anymore! j/k)

Haha, thanks for the help guys....


This is weird this time, the 80 gb drive is only showin up as a 10gig in fdisk... Im usin a 98SE boot disk, maybe i should try another one :)

just boot to your cd and let xp install do the partitioning and formating..

fdisk is virtually useless for big hard drives
