I always used a guide with the moves. I can do the top side by memory, but the rest is hard without a guide.

Screwdriver (flat #2), pop out (any) inside edge piece, cube falls apart like Bush's foreign policy, put back together with same colors that match center piece, pop insided edge piece back in.
