HOW DO YOU LIVE LIKE THAT?????????

This almost sounds like shens.

If not:

That is so fvcking gross. I would burn that place down and move to the Yukon or Alaska or some other place too cold for nasty-ass fvcking bugs. :|

Seriously, if I saw a roach LAYING AN EGG anywhere I would lose my lunch and every other meal from the past week.

Well most are in the kitchen so I don't have to deal with them all the time. Plus, they usually only come out at night. My family are very messy so the roaches are well fed.

Recently I tried something. I put out like 16 Combat roach hotels. Well, that got rid of a lot of them. I had a big plastic bowl under my sink and there were like 200 dead roaches pilled up in it. I guess that bowl is moist or something because every damn roach went into it before they died.

Anyway, there were a few that survived. I recently put out some more Combat hotels and it doesn't seem to have done anything while the roach population is still growing. I think that these roaches are immune. I should try another brand. All of the roaches in my house are American roaches, none of the small household ones that I see in other peoples' houses.

lol

But seriously, if you get roaches somewhat frequently and need a way to clean them up after you kill them, get one of those canister vac's with the bags. Just suck em up and throw the bag away later. Also, Boric Acid works very well for getting rid of them.
I just went through a roach problem in my new apartment, it is getting better but I still see them here and there.

Good luck

They are all over your food and dishes etc....

Damn man I feel for you having to deal with that, I couldn't do it. I used to do pest control and I have seen some bad, bad bad places.

That is exactly why I don't kill them unless it is benificial to me. If you walk into the kitchen after sun set, you will see roaches looking out from the cracks. That is guaranteed. If there is no one in the room, you will see a few come out and look for food. Anyway, I hate cleaning them up so that is why I don't kill them.

This year has been terrible though. It has been matting season all damn year around. Almost every night I walk into the kitchen and find at least 10 roaches flying around because someone did the matting call. That is the reason this year I actually tried to get rid of them.

Boric acid should work but it is very humid in my house and in the climate of this city so I don't think it will work very well as for sticking on them while they walk through it. I have tried it many times but saw no effect. Maybe if you could get them to eat it.

Food is either wrapped up or in the fridge. So that isn't a problem. I do wash everything before I use it though, pots, pans, dishes. Everybody says I am paranoid but I don't agree.

Honestly I thought you were joking in your first post, now I'm not so sure.
I wasnt aware that roaches did 'matting calls'. And what does one such matting call look/sound like? Also, about killing the roach in the shower and thowing the egg away, how big was the egg anyway? I figured roach eggs would be too small to really even see.

I have seen some pretty big roaches in my apartment, and it grosses me out. Most are about 1.25 inches long and fairly skinny in width, I've heard them called sewer roaches before, not sure though. I keep all my drains closed most of the time, just incase they try to come up the pipes. The most horrifying experience I have come across yet is when I went into my bedroom and saw one crawling on the ceiling above my bed.

There was this HUGE@$$ spider on my stairway yesterday. Put your index finger and thumb together and make an O. It was that big. Black widow too. Yea, huge. I took a rubber band and shot it once. It curled up and started falling with its web (rougly 3 ft down). I shot it again and it fell down the gapb etween the stairs and the wall (I live on the 2nd floor, and there's a ground floor) so it took a terrible plunge to death. Probably was nearly dead after the first shot. I'm remarkeably accurate with rubber bands and I pulled it pretty far back, meaning if the impact can hurt me, it must feel like a log falling on the spider.

Roach eggs are 8mm long or so. They are not small. Never seen one hatch before but I have seen a picture and there are something like 10 babies in it. That is why it is good to get rid of these things.

As far as the matting call, I really am taking a guess here but I imagine that is what it is. It always seems to end with matting so there is where I draw my conclusion from. Anyway, one roach comes out and starts running around like crazy - this is assumably the female and the matting call. There is no smell and roaches don't make any noise except for the landing noise or the flickering of their wings. After about 3 minutes of running around, all the other roaches nearby will come out running and flying around. It is annoying because the roaches seems quite bold and won't go back into hiding lilke usual if you turn bright lights on.

These roaches rarely ever run around unless they are running from a preditor so whenever I see a lone roach running around the walls like crazy, I just assume it is a female roach looking for some action. I promptly kill it or at least spay it with some ammonia based cleaner. It won't kill them but they hate it and they will settle down very quickly once you spray them.

I have lived with American roaches so long that I have gotten to observe and learn many of their behavior patterns.

Heh, while overseas visiting family in the West Bank, a really annoying little roach (alot tinier than the motherf*ckers here in FL) was crawling around the ceiling, so I threw my slipper up at it, and missed......big time. Hit the plain jane flourescent tube fixture (you know, the kind where you can actually see the bulb) and the light came crashing down, made a big f*cking mess in the room, but one hit later and the damn roach was dead.

I shens you not.
