Northern California is nice...San Fran is quite possibly the coolest city I've ever seen. Also, living in wine country is nice as well, very nice weather without the super hot temperatures of SoCal.

Move to Manteca, hehe, thats where I live. We have awesome pumpkin faires, as well as a Christmas parade.

Napa/Sonoma Valley aka wine country is nice, but expensive.

are you kidding? NorCal >>> SoCal...less smog, more than just brown hills, not as hot.

California has some really nice areas, and some really crappy areas. It's still one of the better states, geography-wise.
