Just got my liteon 16x burner and burned an iso. Everything went great untill I noticed that I only had one file on the cd. The Iso file was burned on the cd. Not What I wanted. Could somebody help me out here. I am using nero.

Do this:

Open the Wizard > Compile a new CD > Other CD formats > Create a CD from an Image file > Finish > change File top to All Files > find the ISO file > select the file > Burn.

If the Foreign Image Settings comes up you'll have to open the .cue file (open with Notepad) that should have come with the ISO. Change the Data Mode and Block size to that specified in the cue file.

Hi there,

Try using Adaptec EasyCD Creator for burning ISO's. I'm afraid I've got a "it works fine so i'll leave it that way" attitude to burning CDs so i have'nt tried Nero or CloneCD even though I have them!

If you use the Data CD option, go to the File menu and choose create CD from image and change the file type from *.cif to *.iso and select your image file.

Hope this helps!

There is nothing wrong with backing up an ISO. The disk it not useless in that form, trust me.

Our Chicago office did this when the burner was not being properly recognized. I've never had trouble with Nero but have an older version.

Thanks Yzzim. I'll give it a try. Although an iso doesn't have a cue file does it. How can I select a cue file?

And to everybody else. I thought it was funny to. hehe.

Ok that worked like a charm. Thanks.

No problem with hardware or software just the operator.

A few more questions.

Should I use Iso level 1 or 2?

Also Should I use mode 1 or 2?

What is disk at once under the burn tap?

thanks

with nero, open the program and say burn image file then select the bar for the file type so it shows all, then select the .iso and you'll be on your way.

.img files go with .CCD files and are burned with CloneCD,.bin files go with .cue files and are bburned with CDRWIN, .iso files can be burned with just about anything but EZ cd creator is the easiest.
