ok i think i finally picked my 5.1 system need some feedback

Don't know much about HTIBs, especially Pioneer ones, but I've heard good things about Kenwood HTIBs.

I'll go with the 2nd one...

In the first set the subwoofer is not powered, so it's going to be pretty weak... but in the 2nd set it has a powered subwoofer...

The fact that the subwoofer isn't powered in the first one simply means that the amplifier is in the main unit, rather than in the sub itself...
Silly question perhaps;
If you're planning to use the DVD drive in your PC, why are you buying an HTIB which has a DVD player built in?

I'd go for the second one BTW - The satellites look much better than those in the first one. It has a 6-channel input so you can hook your SBLive up to it.

Dude, you do know that that's in a completely difference price range from what he's considering? You might as well be linking to some JM Labs Utopia or Dynaudio Evidence setups.

about $4800 + another few grand for the amp + signal processors + source equipment.... bet hey you gotta dream and reference against something

Hehe, well then dream of something even more grand then? Like a pair of JM Labs Grande Utopia fronts, 2 pairs of side Utopia surrounds, a Center Utopia, 7 Mark Levinson No.33 monoaural amplifiers, a Theta Casablanca II Prepro, an Enlightened Audio Designs DVDMaster 8000 Pro DVD player, a Sony SCD-1 SACD player, and a Linn Sondek CD12 CD Player,
