I'm going in for surgery on Thursday link about it, anyway i have stay in the hospital overnight.

I don't watch much if any TV so i need something to read!

I would like some fantasy/adventure or some "end of the world" type. i already read the Stand by Stephen king. but something along that type.

I'm going to hit the bookstore and library tomorrow.

Thanks!

A Song of Ice and Fire Series by George R R Martin. Nothing else will compare. Names of the books are:
A Game of Thrones
A Clash of Kings
A Storm of Swords

Hell, I have 2 copies of each, my personal, and one I lend out ot other people.

Otherwise, you have the typical Shannara series by Terry Brooks and Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. Go martin though.

Anything by Michael Crichton. If you haven't read any of his books, start with Andromeda Strain, Sphere, Jurassic Park, or Airframe.

I remember when I'd come into every book thread and recommend those books. People would quote and say wtf kelvrick, you come into every damn thread and say the same damn things. Now finally people just agree.

Now, I only need you to do one more thing, Ameesh. Go into my discussion thread and well, discuss

Although I'm a huge fan of dune, and a fan of the books thereafter, I don't know if I'd recommend it for a hospital stay, I'd want something a little fluffier (same goes for 1984, etc.)

You wouldn't be going wrong with the song of fire and ice, if you want to stick with fantasy.
