Ok, I have my computer parts but no on switch

I purposely left a cae out of my budget in building my new computer so I could make my own, but now I don't have an on switch. Tell me there's a way around that 😱

There is.
Basically, on the mobo there's a little patch of connections, which are for the power LED, reset switch, HDD LED, system speaker and power switch.
If you work out which 2 pins are for the switch, then you can make your own power switch and LED's and just hook them up to the motherboard.

The other option is to buy a cheap ($5) case and just rip all the power/LED/etc cables out of it and use them in your own case.

2 of those pins are for the power on switch. Then there's all the other switches as well.
The motherboard manual will have the pin configuration.

Just 2 wires and a switch, huh. Could I just jump the pins with a wire? Or maybe one wire for each pin and twist them together?

EDIT:
short the 2 metal connections where the pwr button should be

Thanks. Will a HD jumper do the trick?

short those two pins together momentarily with anything conductive. Doesn't have to be a "Switch".

edit: I guess I type slow 🙁

hell just go to radio shack and spend a couple bucks on a momentary switch, that is what i did for my test bench.....push it and let go....system turns on🙂
