OK, I have a couple questions about Lost...

Now, I thought the first season was great, the characters all had great chemistry, and they were actively trying to get off the island or find a way out. Then the main writer left after the first season and since about the 2nd half of season 2 nothing's really happened. They occasionally kill off a main character for "oh my gosh this show is great because they'll write anything into it" value, which really only impresses unintelligent slack-jaws. But I digress..I ASSUME they're going to rescue jack for the season 3 finale, which leaves us where? Pretty much where they were about halfway through season 2. So what was the point of the entire last season and a half???

They introduced Libby & Ana Lucia...who contributed nothing to the plot and were killed off at the end of season 2. The dumbest thing is, Michelle Rodriguez said that her character was going to only be in season 2 anyway, it wasn't because she was arrested that they killed her off. They always intended her to be that pointless.

At this point they're not even trying to get off the Island, good original cast characters are getting killed off and replaced by flat, unappealing replacements, and the story arcs don't contribute in the least to the main plot.

Is there ANY logical explanation for what the writers are doing for the last 25 or so episodes??

Isn't it obvious? To milk the cow.

About the Michelle Rodriguez bit, I think it's just PR. Like they'd really admit to killing her off because of the arrest she had. Didn't the producers once said she'd be written into the show as part of a love triangle with Kate and Jack. That didn't happen so...
