Alright I have $150 bucks to spend. What should i go for? I was thinking about getting a raptor and maybe having a raid thing set up with my 7200rpm sata hdd. ..would that work?hehe ...then I was think about getting one of them nice zalman hs/f. The retail one is sorta...eh. Any suggestions?

Actually let me give you my specs...

asus p4c800-e del.
p4 3.2 c ..retail fan
ocz 3200 1 gig
9800 pro
120 gb. sata 7200 rmp
52x cdrw

Get a Zalman HSF, then another 120 SATA 7200 drive same brand as ur current one so u can run in RAID but that means u have to format both hd's i think. OR you can get Zalman HSF and DVD+/- R burner.

Hehe cool input so far. Yeah I've been thinking about getting a dvd burner but it wouldn't really help me out too much as I have nothing to burn. My speakers are big ol stero ones so I'm fine with those. Should I just save my money for something else?

....er?

hmm ive come to the decision, that quieting my system isnt going to work, because the noisest thing is the psu. I dont want to shell out money for a new one, and I don't know if i could sell the old one...so I guess its not worth it. I think im gonna go with getting a the zalman for now. thanks

Go rent er buy some DVD Movies for backup and start accumulating more Data. Hell you have a whole WWW to look into for interest as well

Get an Audigy 2 ZS sound card. My cousin got one, and combined it with a 6.1 speaker system, I was AMAZED to see how much better it was than my SB Live! with my 5.1 speakers. Or you could always just get a DVD burner, those make backing things up a breeze.

Swap the fan in your PSU for a quiet one.

Is that hard? I don't want to screw anything around. Any recommendations on what fan to get? Thanks again.

A Panaflo L1A should do fine. What kind of power supply do you have?
