OK so we are giving our daughter an MP3 player for X-mas. I purchased some songs from the BB online store on Black Friday (they were on sale) and well come to find out they all come down with Rhapsody and are .rax files.

After a fair bit of searching I found out that I can simply burn them to a CD (choosing Audio CD as an option in Real Player) and then rip them back into MP3 format.

Here is my dilemma ....

I lose all the song and artist info I had when I downloaded it.

Is there any way to fix this?? I would hate to think I wasted my $$ on these tracks. I can tell you one thing its the last time I use the BB music store as this conversion is a pain the a$$.

LMK

Thanks

Greg

Audio players can automatically add this info, for example import them into iTunes or Windows Media Player library and they should automatically look up the info and tag the files. Or you can manually add it in Windows, right click on the file, select properties, then go to summary and click on the advanced tab to show the tags. You can't embed album art in Windows explorer though you'll have to download a more advanced tagging program or a media player that supports tagging (Winamp for example) to do this.

And in the future buy DRM-free MP3s from Amazon. :)

I'll see what I can do when I get home tonight, thanks!!

Not to worry I have no plans of EVER using this service again. What a giant pain!

You could edit the ID Tags in iTunes if it does not automatically find the CD info for you. You can then add album artwork if you want.
