Ok Im new to the forums guys! HI!

Anyway, my Computer has been overheating like a mother the past few days, and Ive decided its time to FINALLY upgrade...

Now I will tell you my current setup, and I would love to keep as many things as possible from my old rig...But if you guys dont think some things are wise, let me know!

First off, im lookin to go the A64 route...I was lookin at the 3200+. Whats the best bang for my buck?? Secondly, I will need a motherboard that supports A64, and AGP at the same time, for my card is a 6800 GT. The ram I have now is 1 gb of ddr 2700. I have an 80gb WD HD, 2 Sony CDrom/DVD Drives, and im currently running a AMD Athlon 2000+ and an Nforce 2 mobo.

Now im trying to do the smartest upgrades, without spending a fortune. So please try to stay within my parameters if you can! Thanks guys, ANY Help is appreciated.

Ok, after lookin over the boards a litlte bit, I found that my new Mobo should be the ASRock 939Dual-SATA2. Its both AGP and PCIe for the future. But I still need opinions on a processor and ram (if i can still use my old ram)...

Awesome man thanks, now also a few questions...

my ddr pc2700 should be fine for my new machine right? Also, is there something a little better than the venice 3000+? While great processor, I COULD spend up to 200 for a processor instead of just the 120 or 130 it costs. But if you sit here and tell me that that processor will be fine for me, and last me a little while (esp overclocking), then I will be fine with that too.
