I am trying to hook up a GA-7DX that I just bought. I bought just a bare board (no manual) so I downloaded the manual online.

OK...the picture on the manual has 17 pins for the case speaker, power switch, reset switch, etc...

The mobo only has 15 pins and they aren't arranged like the picture on the manual....GRRRRRRRRR

Can anyone shed any light on this situation for me? Pleaseee?

Check to see if they are labelled on the motherboard itself. If they aren't, it could very well be that the online manual isn't correct. I doubt your motherboard is missing the pins. Just keep trying different combinations, you don't really _need_ all of them anyway.

Nope, they aren't labeled on the board :(

And...they aren't even in the same location on the board as the picture on the manual...LOL.

The manual is for a rev. 4 retail board. You may have a surplus board of an earlier rev. that may have been slightly modified for a particular computer manufacturer. Ask the vender for more info. Check the rev. number on the board. You may have to do some detective work.

Yeah, mine is rev. 2.2.

Maybe I can find a manual for my revision board.

Thanks for the help anyway,
