Been staring at my new Dell1800FP LCD for about an hour now and wow!

never could figure out why people would blow $400 on a monitor but after this recent Dell deal, I had to see what the fuss was about and I'm glad I did!

This thing is beautiful! The colors look great and my eyes don't hurt at all.

I love my 1800FP. I just got a 15" Mitsubishi LCD to use in my office at school. LCD's are great.

I've also have had a 1800FP for several months now, and it is beautiful. Would not get rid of it at all.

I don't get it. CRT monitors have been around for 20 years. Now when people get "new" lcd monitors the old ones hurt their eyes?

Huh!? Their CRTs hurt their eyes, the LCD doesn't..

Hogwash, I've already had an 1800fp and gotten rid of it. Ghosting is teh suck.

I have a viewsonic VP171B now, the difference is like night and day.

i've got a friend with a new dell LCD (don't know if it's the same one), and it looks like rat poop. colors are "bright" and contrast is "sharp" but images are totally inaccurate, and aliased all to hell. you can take my flat CRT when you pry it from my cold dead fingers.
