ok...how the heck do I use the jump pack in the original HL?

You took the time to post this on a ATOT? You couldn't just fiddle with the controls for thirty seconds?

BTW, Minendo, it's ctrl first and THEN jump. Same time should work too, but it's not technically correct.

ctrl first makes you duck, then jump. No good. Same time is the only way to go.

Yes I took the time to post this. I couldn't get the darn thing to work.

It is essentially a duck-jump. You could hold duck but when you press jump you will shoot forward.

move forward while Crouching, release crouch and then hit Jump very quickly. Takes a lot of practice (which you can do at the beginning of the game).

Yes I took the time to post this. I couldn't get the darn thing to work.

No, you must be running foward, press duck, while "ducked", hit the jump button. This is all within a fraction of a second.

It is not duck + jump at the same time.
