OK home repair people, I need your help!

ok...ok...I admit it was dumb...i had just lost a $20 hand of poker, three 9's with a jack kicker, losing to three 9's with an Ace kicker....well anyway, because this happened I stopped poker at my place for now

but i kicked my open bathroom door, and i guess i kicked it harder then i thought because this happened-

Now I am going to replace the door, but for now I would like to replace it with another door that is an extra door in our apartment (sitting against the wall off the hidges)...but the door i want to use to replace it doesnt have a lock on its handle, so I want to switch handles

pics of the handle of the broken door

all metal-door connections are painted into the door

The basic question is after getting the good door as apart as I can, I cant figure out how to get the handle off and I dont want to take the bad doors handle off untill I can assure I can switch them

Did you question how you had three 9's and so did the other guy? Sounds a bit fishy to me. Of course unless you were playing kiddie poker with wild cards...

Anyway, do you normally have people tryign to break into your bathroom that it's such a big deal to have a lock? Just say if the door is closed, then knock first or don't go in. We never have the bathroom door closed unless someone isin there so it's pretty obvious not to go in.

And as a safety issue, if it's locked and you slip in the shower or something else, it's harder for people to get to you to offer assistance.

Texas Hold Em.

He had 9J, while the other guy had 9A. There were 2 9's in the community. Thus, both have three 9's.

Once those two securing screws holding the retaining plate to the door are removed (behind the cover plate), pull one of the handles out (only one will move, the other is still held in by the bolt), once this is done, remove the screws that hold the bolt in place, remove bolt, then remove the other handle.
Do not forget to align the striker plate (in the door jam) to the bolt before tightening the the assembly.
