Finally got another digi-cam to get some pics of the car.

Here was the car the first time it was stolen...they took the wheels but luckily most was left intact.....LINK

LINKHeres how the car look now.

LINKThey took part of the tail lights and the spoiler.

LINKThe headlights and the front bumper is gone.

LINKThey broke the left window to get in.

LINKTook the gauge cluster...all the wires looked intact.

LINKOf course, its the probably the reason why they stole the car in the first place...my stereo system in plain view.

LINKThey took something under the glove compartment...You can see the wires hanging out...Do you know what it is ??

LINKThey took the top of the engine...the header ???

LINKThe air intake.

LINKTook the damm radiator.

I'm no car expert but it looks like the car can be repair with just a few parts...I mean just to get it running.
But the mechanic I know said its not worth it....hes telling me $5k-$7k range.

So what do the mechanic experts think ???
Could it be repaired ??
Should it be repair ??
What can I get for it if I just want to sell it ?? (I'd be happy if I can get anything >$1K)

UPDATED:
After posting this same FIXABLE question in a Civic forum , I got a few people wanting the car.
This guy gave me a $100 deposit(we agreed on $2K) but it seems like the deal was never going to go through cause he canceled his trip to Orlando(from Jacksonville) a few times.
Amzingly late last night at 2am, he came and got the car.

Theres a change at my job and I just don't have anytime for that car so I had to made sure he takes the car with him.
Before he even look at the car, I told him I would sell it to him for less than the agreed $2K.
Ended up getting $1500+$100 depsoit and now its off to a new home.
Hopefully, he'll have no problem getting the car fixed and running.

They took the cams out of it. That seems odd. The thing under the glovebox might be the computer but I'm not sure.

Rough estimate....around $6k-$7k.

a civic Si with lower than 100k miles can easily fetch you at least $9k or above. well that is my rough estimate.

5-7K is alot.
150-250 bumper
100-250 for tail light
150-275 for head light
150-300 for spoiler
500-800 for rim and tires
75-150 for glass
100-200 for gauge cluster
100-200 for ecu under the glove box
200-400 for new cams
75-150 for new valve cover
70-125 for new intake
80-125 for radiator
---------------------
1750-3325 in parts. i figure it be close to 1750 if you shop around, but shouldn't be above 3k. all the labor you could do yourself, the only thing you might want a professional do is to install your cams and put your timing belt back on and valve cover onto your engine. Which should cost like 400 max. and painting the bumper and spoiler should be like max 450.

Mechanics have very high estimate, but it sound right if you have some expensive shop get all the parts and install it for you.
Yes it could be repair easily, well to me it is.
YES REPAIR IT
Don't sell it, if you do i buy it for 2k :D because its still worth 4k atleast

that is a terrible thing that happened to you. i have never had a car stolen, so i dont know how you feel. i would bet violated. i drive 96 escort 4 door hatchback, who would want that?

anyway... the insurance company gonna write that car off? I cannot see the car being worth more than it will take to fix it. as for what is left.. perhaps a junk yard will offer you something or you can list it for parts.

It got stolen AGAIN? Damn, that's just bad luck dude. I dunno. If it was my car I'd fix it. But then again I know how to fix all of that myself.

i'd try a few mechanics, repair it and sell it. then avoid any thief baits such as the integra's and the civic Si's.

it sucks when your car gets treated like this, but at least the wires are intact from the pics.

You could sell your long block. Other than that, I'm not sure. If your seats are still there you could sell those. You could sell your brakes all around if they're still there. Then you could piece out the body pieces to people who were interested. If you're heavily into rebuilding cars and what not, I'd just buy it back from the insurance for probably under a grand and get started on getting that bad boy fixed. I love that year Si 99-00. Those things are sweet. Sorry for your loss.

Thank you for th in-depth info.
I live in Orlando, Fl so I'll sell it to you for $2k if you're serious :)
The car have been running flawless for me for the 3.5 yrs that I've had it.
I've missed that car :(

I was thining exactly of all the things you've said.
Anyone with any kind of car sense should be able to get that car running no problem.
Unfortunately I don't....maybe I should make it a project of mine and learn more about cars

BTW, your list shouldn't include the wheels cause I lost those from the first time it was stolen.
I've been driving on those crappy wheels the whole time.
