I know I'm not losing my mind. If I were I damn sure wouldnt have fantasized about Rollo.

I know I saw him in the PhysX thread this morning. He came back as iRollo and actually shared an interesting opinion. I commented on it. So did two others guys.

Then I made LOOOOONNNGGG post. By the time I got back, he was gone. I dont mean "gone" as in "why did go offline". I mean "gone" like his posts had disappeared completely. As had our replies.
What the heck happened? Was he really such a pain in the butt?

Creating second accounts is a big no-no here. Dunno what the fuss was about with him, I guess there's alot of nVidia and ATi rivalries over in the video forum /shrugs...
 
The post, along with any continued discussion of it in that thread, was removed due to thread derailment and trolling, as I already informed "iROLLO" by PM.

Sorry about the delay informing the rest of you who posted in reply to him. I was timing out for about half an hour trying to load the forum right after that.

Apparently he's not Rollo, just some dude in Finland. I'm not convinced yet, but that's what he's claiming.

Perhaps the Senior Mods should run a traceroute on their IP addresses.
 
It's already been looked into and the account's been banned. Opening a parody account of a permabanned member for the purposes of trolling is not a good way to start at AT.

He's over with Rollo at another forum going on about how this somehow shows that AT is biased against NV.

Pretty much anyone you ban from here goes over to ABT and stirs up a frenzy.

The NV guys are pretty pissed off over there and they think it's unfair that the "AMD militia" goes on unfettered here at AT. They called out creig, AZN, and a few others who they think are AMD marketing shills. Some of them called me out as one as well, however I am not one.

Thats a fair point but until they are actually PROVEN to be AMD plants nothing can happen. Being a fanboy isnt illegal or against the anandtech rules.

Rollo was actually proven to be an Nvidia person. And he made clearly biased & wrong statements about ATI and Nvidia technical data.
If you wanna advertise you have to pay for it.

The Newegg rep gets a pass because all he does is help correct customer complaints. He doesnt promote sales in any way.

Is Rollo still frothing at the mouth about me over there? That guy seriously needs to step away from the computer for awhile and go outside. You'd think that he might have gotten a clue that it's his own behavior that gets him in trouble after having been permabanned from, what is it now, five major internet forums? But, no. It's always somebody else's fault. Me, you, apoppin, the mods, Derek, Anand, etc. He's so completely pathetic.

Thankfully, I'd completely forgotten about him until I just read your post. It sounds like he has some serious fixation issues if he's still going on about me. I guess being one of the main people to constantly shoot down his FUD here, I've left a lasting impression on him. Oh well.
 
Creig, you can deal with Rollo here, unmoderated and uncensored. You can tell him how you really feel and they will not lock the thread. Ever.

Lately he's even had the guys on the NVnews forum call him out. He was baiting in the 4890 thread over there.

dave mcowen is there as well. Appopin I'm sorry for making fun but its funny that the banned anandtech rejects go to abt.

Dave McOwen created ABT because he was pissed off at the AT mods. He's actually a pretty cool guy. Apparently he helped invent the DSL modem.

Yeah well, now he's sliding more and more into crazy. The last I saw he started calling everybody oil apologists and anonymous cowards and then proceeded to harangue the mods for personal information of various posters.
